India’s Employment Surge: PM Modi’s Rozgar Mela Sparks Economic Optimism​

In a significant move to bolster employment, Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed over 51,000 appointment letters to newly appointed youth across various central government departments during the 15th Rozgar Mela. Addressing the nation via video conferencing, PM Modi emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring continuous growth in employment and self-employment opportunities for the youth. ​

Highlighting India’s robust economic trajectory, the Prime Minister cited the International Monetary Fund’s projection that India will remain the fastest-growing major economy. He noted that sectors like automobile and footwear industries have achieved record production and export levels, generating substantial employment. 

PM Modi underscored the inclusivity of India’s development, pointing out the rising participation of women in various sectors. He mentioned that three of the top five UPSC exam toppers this year are women and highlighted that over 90 lakh self-help groups now encompass more than 10 crore women. ​

The Prime Minister also emphasized the role of youth in nation-building, stating that their active participation leads to accelerated development and global recognition for the country. 

As India continues its journey towards becoming a developed nation, initiatives like the Rozgar Mela play a pivotal role in empowering the youth and driving economic growth.
