The second edition of Startup Mahakumbh 2025 concluded with unprecedented success at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, attracting over 230,000 visitors – nearly eight times last year’s attendance. Spanning three days, the event spotlighted India’s burgeoning startup ecosystem through thematic pavilions, high-impact sessions, and global investor engagements.
Highlights from the Event:
- AI & DeepTech Innovations: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) launched ‘MeitY Mitra’ – India’s first government AI chatbot integrated into a government website, enhancing accessibility and user support.
- Investment Opportunities: Over 500 one-on-one meetings were held between startups and more than 250 venture capital firms, facilitating significant funding discussions.
- Regional Excellence: The event featured 10 thematic pavilions focusing on sectors like AI, DeepTech, HealthTech, AgriTech, and DefenseTech, showcasing innovations from startups across India.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal announced a Rs 10,000 crore fund of Funds scheme to support deep tech startups, emphasizing the government’s role as a facilitator in the startup ecosystem.
