Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) aims to set up 43 new mobile towers in Nandyal and Kurnool districts,local MP Dr. Byreddy Shabari said Tuesday, June 9, 2026 . Part of a push to boost 4G coverage in underserved villages across Nandyal Parliamentary constituency.
These projects get funding from Digital Bharat Nidhi (DBN),targeting spots private telecoms find unfeasible. Dr. Shabari mentioned four towers are already up,bringing 4G to four villages in the area.
BSNL working closely with state officials to speed up land allotment for new towers. Construction starts once land's secured. MP hopeful towers will be live by March 2027,bringing much-needed connectivity to remote communities.
New towers will be placed in Kallur and Orvakal mandals of Kurnool district,also in Banaganapalle,Bethemcherla,Dhone,Kothapalle,Midthur,Owk,Peapally,Sanjamala,and Uyyalawada mandals of Nandyal.
