Abhijeet Dipke, founder of Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), spoke about his return to Hingoli,Maharashtra, at an event on August 15. The Bollywood film Swades inspired his move back from the U.S. to help his village.
In a post on X,Dipke described how a scene from Swades moved him deeply, igniting his desire to aid his community. "As Mohan quietly sheds a tear, I did too. Every single time. Ever since,somewhere in my heart,I wished that someday I could do something for my own village,just like Mohan did for Charanpur," he wrote.
Dipke's passion for the film is clear; he's watched it over 100 times . This emotional connection drove his ambition to return and make a difference . He feels grateful for life's twists allowing him to work for his village.
"Little did I know that life would take such turn that years later, I would return from the US and actually get an opportunity to do something very similar for my own village," he said. His journey feels like a full circle .
On Independence Day, Dipke launched "School Thik Karo" to address issues in government schools in his district. He pointed out lack of basic amenities like seating, water, and sanitation. His initiative aims to improve student conditions.
Part of his campaign involves visiting government schools across Maharashtra, urging parents to conduct social audits of facilities. He believes community involvement is key to driving change in education.
In social media video, Dipke was seen with excited schoolchildren eager to meet him. When asked about criticism,he joked, "What hate?" showing his focus on mission despite negativity.
The CJP announced second season of its "Jantar Mantar" initiative,a nationwide listening tour to address public concerns,especially in education. Dipke's efforts aim to engage communities and understand their needs .
Through his work,Dipke hopes to inspire others to act in their communities, much like Mohan in Swades. His journey back to Hingoli is a testament to inspiration and giving back.
As he wrapped up his thoughts,Dipke reiterated his commitment to making a difference. "Life really does come full circle sometimes. I'll always be grateful for this opportunity,and for all the love I've received from people. I love you all,and I'll give it everything I have to do something meaningful and make real difference," he affirmed.
