Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) will host Research, Industry, Start-up and Entrepreneurship (RISE) Conclave 2026 in Bengaluru on June 13,14. Two-day event at V.M . Ghatge Convention Centre focuses on theme “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Driven Growth for Viksit Bharat 2047.” Researchers,industry leaders, start-ups, policymakers,investors,students come together to boost India's innovation scene.

At CSIR-CFTRI on Tuesday,Director Dr . Giridhar Parvatam announced conclave's inauguration by Dr. Jitendra Singh,Union Minister for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences. Dr. N. Kalaiselvi, CSIR Director General and Secretary of Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR),will attend too.

Event aims to turn scientific research into market-ready products. Collaboration is key. Over 100 start-ups, MSMEs,tech exhibitors backed by ISRO,Department of Science and Technology (DST),Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR),Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) expected to showcase innovations with commercial potential.

Highlight: 12 start-ups from CSIR-CFTRI incubation center in Mysuru to showcase products using CFTRI tech. Protein bars, low-glycemic foods for diabetics, millet-based nutritional items. CFTRI technology licensees will also display offerings.

Conclave will feature sessions on aerospace tech, science communication,AI and ethics,agri-food innovation, venture capital. Participants include Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bosch, IBM Quantum, NVIDIA, Tata Advanced Systems, NSRCEL.

Dr . Parvatam stressed bridging lab research and market-ready solutions. Goal: foster collaborations among scientists,entrepreneurs, investors,industry stakeholders. New partnerships,technology-transfer opportunities expected.

During event, CSIR-CFTRI plans to ink four MoUs with top institutions,including premier IITs, IIMs,NABARD. Senior scientist Prof. A.A . Inamdar said RISE initiative aims to build strong innovation ecosystem with 40+ government institutions, research bodies.

Organizers hope conclave inspires students,young innovators to pursue entrepreneurship. Investment linkages,support for start-ups on agenda.
