Major media organizations in Hong Kong have partnered with state-owned enterprise in Kazakhstan to launch new initiatives . On Tuesday,Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu led a delegation to sign agreements tightening ties between Hong Kong and Kazakhstan amid ongoing geopolitical tensions.This collaboration features a partnership between the South China Morning Post and Kazakhstan's special financial zone,focusing on investment opportunities and new strategies. The Newspaper Society of Hong Kong has also teamed up with the Khabar Agency,a leading state media outlet in Kazakhstan, to promote sharing of “accurate narratives” in both regions. Professional exchanges,skill development, and study tours for journalists will be part of this effort .
Hong Kong's media players are marking themselves as a “superconnector” for Central Asia, aiming to boost media interactions and enhance information sharing. They pointed to Hong Kong's lively, inclusive media scene, urging Central Asian partners to view the city as a hub for collaboration and regional growth. These partnerships matter.
