JSW Steel cranked up crude steel production in May 2026,reaching 22.93 lakh tonnes (LT). That's a 15% jump from 19.96 LT last May. Dolvi unit's full swing operations and ramp-up at JSW Vijayanagar Metallics Ltd (JVML) powered this growth.
In a filing,JSW Steel said Dolvi's full operations resumed after a maintenance shutdown in May 2025. Blast furnace 3 at Vijayanagar is getting upgrades,slated to restart late June 2026 .
Capacity utilization for JSW in India hit 98% excluding blast furnace 3. With it,rate was 87%. Indian operations produced 21.98 LT,up 15% from 19.17 LT last May .
Over in the U.S.,JSW Steel USA-Ohio showed strong numbers. Production rose 20% to 0.95 LT from 0.79 LT last year. In March 2026,steel business of Bhushan Power and Steel Limited (BPSL) shifted to JSW-JFE Steel Ltd on a slump-sale basis. Adjusted figures reflect this change .
