Severe thunderstorms from season's first Kalabaisakhi ripped through Odisha,killing at least three and injuring many more . Lightning,high winds hammered several districts. Jajpur, Bhadrak,Mayurbhanj took hardest hits .

In Jajpur, tragedy struck Gundilo village in Patapura panchayat of Dharmasala block. Local farmer Sangram Nayak died when lightning hit as he worked fields . Nearby,a 10-year-old boy also killed by lightning,locals confirmed.
