Farmers in Mysuru district,Karnataka,raised their voices Monday,protesting soaring diesel and fertilizer prices,along with alleged black market dealings of key agricultural supplies. Members of Karnataka Prantha Raitha Sangha (KPRS) gathered to air frustrations over challenges hitting rural livelihoods,including selling livestock.
Protestors handed a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner’s office,urging swift government action on these pressing issues. They pointed out struggles in sourcing fertilizers and seeds as planting season nears. Reports of DAP and urea sold illegally have forced many to pay inflated prices,deepening financial strain.
