Kerala High Court may switch the investigating officer in microfinance fraud case tied to ₹15.85-crore scam involving Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam's General Secretary, Vellapally Natesan. During June 19, 2026, hearing,court criticized slow progress under S . Sasidharan, Superintendent of Police at Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB).
Justice A. Badharudeen had told Sasidharan to wrap up investigation by June 20,2026. Report was due. But officer dragged feet,asking for more time again and again. Court warned: finish in three weeks or case goes to someone else.
Case started in 2016. Allegations of misusing government loans channeled through SNDP Yogam from 2003 to 2014 . Loans meant for marginalized communities in Kerala. Special Investigation Team (SIT) under Sasidharan took it on in November 2024 after M.S. Anil of Cherthala demanded thorough probe .
