June 5,2026 — the Jayantian Extension Service (JES) of Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University) in Bengaluru led tree planting for World Environment Day. Teaming up with National Service Scheme (NSS),Central Service Scheme (CSS),and Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA)–Bengaluru East City Corporation,they gathered at Sri Siddhartha Sanivasa High School in Hennur.
‘Plant4Mother’ and ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam (EPMKN)’ banners flew high. Program aimed to boost environmental awareness,encourage afforestation . Participants dedicated trees to their mothers, a gesture of gratitude and commitment to nature. Hoped to inspire community action.
Faculty,NSS and CSS volunteers,JES coordinators,GBA staff — all came together. Mission: enhance city's green spaces. By involving citizens,organizers want to deepen the bond between people and their environment. Will it spark real change? Time will tell…
