The Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) has launched its admission cycle for 2026-27 academic year,offering a total of 65 programs across various disciplines. Applications opened on June 22,allowing prospective students to enroll in undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma,and certificate courses.

Among the programs available are popular degrees such as BA,BCom,BBA, BSc, MA, MSc,MCom, MBA,MSW, BEd, and Library Science. The university also provides a selection of diploma and certificate courses . Interested candidates can submit their applications online through the university's admission portal, followed by document verification at designated regional centers.

During a press conference held in Mysuru,KSOU Vice-Chancellor A.P . Gnanaprakash highlighted the introduction of 10 online programs,including BA, BCom, MA in Kannada and Hindi,MBA, and MSc in Mathematics. This move aims to enhance accessibility for students who prefer or require remote learning options.

To support its learners,KSOU has developed a mobile application that provides access to digital study materials, facilitates assignment submissions, and allows students to attend both live and virtual classes . Additionally, students can download previous years’ question papers and pay examination fees directly through the app. For those unable to attend physical classes, the university offers lectures via KSOU Drushyavahini, YouTube-based learning platform.

Accredited with ‘A+’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) Distance Education Bureau,KSOU has broadened its reach within Karnataka. university operates network of 38 Regional Centres,118 Learner Support Centres, and 50 counselling centres, ensuring that students have ample resources and support throughout their educational journey.

Senior officials from KSOU were also present at the press conference, underscoring the institution's commitment to enhancing educational opportunities through innovative learning solutions.
