On 30th foundation day of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), party chief Lalu Prasad emphasized commitment to marginalized and downtrodden in Bihar. In letter to people,he highlighted July 5's importance,saying RJD has always fought socio-economic inequality and communalism.
Prasad argued party's development vision goes beyond malls and airports . Instead,he stressed including poor in all progress aspects. “Our goal is to bring qualitative changes to lives of laborers and artisans who built these malls,hotels,airports,” he stated. Genuine participation over superficial growth.
Remembering 1997 origins,Prasad noted RJD was established for poor and minority rights. He expressed pride in party’s journey,acknowledging worker sacrifices. “Words will fall short describing struggles and selflessness shown by party for common people's welfare,” he wrote. Dedication propels RJD forward.
In sharp critique of ruling BJP,Prasad claimed current political landscape is hit by compromised institutions and aggressive market forces. He argued these challenges threaten democracy's fabric,as BJP allegedly manipulates system for gain. “Unrestrained capital use to buy voters,representatives poses numerous challenges,” he asserted.
Prasad further claimed critical issues like backward class participation,educational equality,minority rights overshadowed by BJP’s Hindutva agenda. He pointed to election results as evidence BJP's attempts to push country backward, capturing institutions,sidelining Constitution .
He framed ongoing struggle as “powerful” vs “helpless,” a fight against new Sangh-corporate alliance. Prasad called for unity among supporters of poor, farmers,marginalized, urging them to set aside minor differences for collective struggle.
