Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar Ajeevika Mission Grameen (VB-G Ram G) scheme launched Thursday in Mukkavaripalli,village in Tirupati district,Andhra Pradesh. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan,and Union Minister for Agriculture Shivraj Singh Chouhan led event . Focus on farmer welfare and rural development.
Leaders laid foundation stone for farm pond,symbolizing agricultural support. Chouhan pointed to Indian government's plan to build 74,212 houses in Andhra Pradesh under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), with funds for 146 rural roads. ₹422 crore earmarked for these infrastructure projects .
Chouhan announced Centre's plan to buy 2.16 lakh metric tonnes of Totapuri mangoes under market intervention scheme. Aims to boost local economy and Naidu's vision of making Rayalaseema horticultural hub. Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister Atchannaidu confirmed subsidies for Totapuri mango farmers stay.
Saplings of ten tree varieties,including teak, neem,and eucalyptus, were planted. Kalyan,handling Panchayat Raj, introduced "Wood Bank" concept for future revenue through sustainable forestry.
Leaders inspected model drainage system with multi-layered gravel design for effective water disposal. Part of efforts to improve sanitation and environmental conditions in region .
Kalyan noted Andhra Pradesh got third-highest allocation for VB-G Ram G scheme,₹7,707 crore. He stressed potential rise in state's rural employment spending—from ₹7,600 crore to ₹51,000 crore.
Chouhan also visited photo exhibition of Andhra Pradesh success stories,model panchayats,initiatives for zero liquid discharge. Part of push for transparency through geo-tagging.
Event included Union Minister of State for Agriculture Kamlesh Paswan,Union Minister of State for Rural Development Pemmasani Chandrasekhar,and state ministers. VB-G Ram G scheme promises ₹300 daily minimum wage for workers,as per Centre.
