On Sunday,Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman went to Devanahalli to check on the Bengaluru–Chennai Expressway construction. Part of 'Pragati Path Yatre Darshan.' It's a program reviewing infrastructure projects nationwide.

This expressway is a key piece of Bharatmala Pariyojana Phase-I. Meant to boost connectivity between Bengaluru and Chennai. During her visit,Sitharaman looked over road construction progress,traffic management plans tied to this Greenfield project. She stressed these developments show Prime Minister Narendra Modi's NDA government's dedication to economic growth,better quality of life.

Expressway will greatly improve access to major industrial,logistics hubs like Hoskote,Malur,Bangarpet,and Aerospace and Defence Parks. “The project also aims to boost access to proposed Multimodal Logistics Park at Dobbspet Prioritized under Chennai–Bengaluru Industrial Corridor . Shows its strategic importance.

Stretching 71 kilometers in Karnataka,this expressway splits into Hoskote–Malur (26.4 km), Malur–Bangarpet (27.1 km),and Bangarpet–Bethamangala (17.5 km) sections. Karnataka segment done,informally opened December 2024 . But construction still goes on in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu…
