Ten years later, actor Nivin Pauly and director Alphonse Puthren team up again for new film Vijayam. Announced Saturday, June 27,2026,it's their third film together after hits Neram (2013) and cult favorite Premam (2015).
Produced by Tonson Tony,Sunil Ramady,and Pauly under Pauly Jr Films,Vijayam marks Pauly's 50th film. Teaser video shows him on a dirt bike in rider's gear. Puthren makes a playful cameo,mentioning he's "shooting insects and a few creatures," nod to critiques of his last film, Gold (2022),with Prithviraj Sukumaran.
“If you fall - remember who you are - do it again,”Pauly shared with first look poster,released in Telugu,Kannada and Hindi.
Their past films left mark on Malayalam cinema. Neram known for its fresh style,while Premam became legendary among fans. Pauly was recently in Prathichaya, a political drama by B Unnikrishnan, which flopped. But he bounced back with Sarvam Maya, grossing over ₹100 crore.
Now, Pauly's wrapped up Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, directed by Girish AD,out by Onam 2026. He's also in Benz by Bakkiyaraj Kannan,part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe. Meanwhile, Puthren has cameo roles in Vaazha 2: Biopic of Billion Bros and Sarvam Maya…
