A six-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled “Generative AI & Agentic AI: From Prompt Engineering to Building Autonomous AI Agents” kicked off Tuesday at SDM College of Engineering and Technology (SDMCET) in Dharwad. Event aims to boost faculty's grasp of new AI tech .
At inauguration, Jeevandhar Kumar,secretary of SDME Society, spoke on AI's wide-reaching impact . He praised college's effort in organizing this program,showing its drive to lead in tech advancements.
Principal Ramesh L. Chakrasali stressed how these programs help educators get up to speed with current AI tools. He said it's key for teaching and research .
FDP coordinator Leena I. Sakri welcomed attendees,gave rundown of week's schedule. Program's a joint effort by departments of Information Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning,Computer Science and Engineering,and Electronics and Communication Engineering.
