On June 1, 2K run took place to boost fitness and mental wellness among students at a technical institute in Eluru district. Participants got moving and pushed for healthier lifestyle.
Top athlete Sufiya Sufi, holder of five Guinness World Records,joined in. She stressed how crucial it is to make sports a part of daily life, encouraging students to fall in love with athletics . "Adding physical activities to daily routines not only improves fitness but also cuts down on stress," she said. Sufi voiced worries about young people spending too much time on screens,which can hurt their competitive edge and interest in sports. To tackle this, she’s rolled out motivational programs to inspire students to dive into athletic activities.
University leaders were there too,including Chancellor R. Venkatrao,Vice-Chancellor K.R.S. Sambasiva Rao, and Pro-Vice Chancellor-2 C. Naga Bhaskar. Their attendance showed the university's commitment to fostering a culture that prioritizes health and fitness for students.
