Justices Ahsanuddin Amanullah and Sheel Nagu,on a Vacation Bench, voiced concern over rising trend to dodge legal system. Justice Amanullah acknowledged issue was serious but insisted proper step is filing complaint with police, followed by thorough investigation.

During proceedings, Justice Amanullah asked petitioner's counsel why they approached Supreme Court directly. “So you file a PIL? Why come here? Have you filed a complaint with police? Why don’t you trust system?” he questioned. Judge emphasized Supreme Court is part of larger judicial structure, not first stop for every complaint .

The Bench warned that bypassing lower courts and police could cause chaos in judicial system. “If litigant starts short-circuiting system, other functionaries would just raise hands and do nothing,” Justice Amanullah said. He urged counsel to let police and lower courts handle complaints, offering insights into their operations.

Court also advised against sensationalizing sensitive matters, urging legal reps to remember their duties as citizens. “To all counsel,we'd like to say, you're a citizen of India. You know law. You know ramifications. Don’t sensationalize these things,” Justice Amanullah concluded, reinforcing respect for legal process. But will this message stick…
