The Telangana government plans to roll out ‘CURE1 – Common Unified Billing and Collection System’, a digital platform streamlining payment of government dues in Core Urban Region (CURE). This covers Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC),Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC), and Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC). Aim: boost digital governance with transparent,user-friendly service for citizens.
With CURE1 app,residents can pay multiple municipal dues through one interface. At first,platform will handle payments for property tax,trade licenses,self-assessment charges,superstructure fees,vacant land tax — all under three municipal corporations. And it will cover electricity bills from TGSPDCL,water,sewerage charges from HMWS&SB, traffic fines .
Centre for Good Governance tasked with developing,deploying,maintaining CURE1. Includes creating unified web,mobile interfaces,ensuring systems work together,upholding cybersecurity. Real-time monitoring,analytics crucial to system.
MeeSeva director to oversee platform implementation,manage centralized payment gateway,coordinate integration of departmental systems. All departments must shift to this unified payment system within 90 days,phasing out old methods…
