Tamil Nadu government plans to meet industry needs, like building hostels for women workers. ₹1,250 crore set aside for “Thozhi hostels” in industrial areas, including Tiruppur.
Union Textile Minister Giriraj Singh spoke on sector's history, saying annual exports topped $44 billion just once since 1998. Exports now at $38 billion, with $100 billion target by 2030.
