Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said Uttar Pradesh's bureaucracy has shed past inefficiencies. Now it's key player in state's development vision. At new campus of Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Uttar Pradesh Academy of Administration and Management in Lucknow, he stressed how crucial strong administration is for government goals.
Adityanath noted for Uttar Pradesh to help build a developed India, every area must be self-sufficient. Well-trained administrators are essential, he said . Political leaders set visions,but it's the bureaucracy that carries them out. "Training,capacity building,and positive work culture are very important," he said.
He expressed hope academy would become a top institution for public leadership. Its new facilities will help turn knowledge into development,building public trust and aiding nation-building. The academy plans to offer ongoing learning for administrative officers,emphasizing tech-driven governance for responsive administration .
"Can't achieve good results with a lone mindset or weakening team," Adityanath said, highlighting teamwork and innovation. He reflected on nine years of progress,saying administrative officers link government and people. Strong connections ensure benefits reach neediest citizens,boosting public perception.
Looking back,Adityanath recalled Uttar Pradesh's poor image before BJP took over in 2017. Blamed past issues on both administrative and political failures. Since then,state redefined its identity, setting new standards in security,governance, tech reforms. "No longer a BIMARU state, but revenue surplus for past six years," he noted.
Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh made strides in capacity building,especially through Mission Karmayogi. Adityanath said state ranks first in capacity building on iGOT platform, sign of its efficient administrative system .
He talked about Viksit Bharat-Viksit UP campaign, which engaged citizens last year. Around 300 senior officials and academics gathered input from communities. Government got over 9.8 million suggestions, shaping a Vision Document.
Tech's role in governance was another focus . He mentioned improvements in food distribution, with e-POS machines cutting corruption. Farmers, especially in sugarcane sector, benefit from transparency,with info now accessible. Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system also removed middlemen, ensuring pensions and benefits go directly to bank accounts.
