He'll head BPR&D until June 30, 2029, or until further notice, according to Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC).
Amit Garg,from Andhra Pradesh,steps up to lead NCRB,now as Director General. Before,he was Director of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA). His NCRB term runs until October 31, 2027, or until new orders come.
