Facing El Niño's challenges,Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu urged officials to rethink crop strategies. At review meeting June 17,2026,Naidu pushed for crop diversification and a big shift to natural farming .
Naidu told officials to help farmers adapt to El Niño's unique weather. He stressed educating farmers on scientific techniques,especially for chilli,tobacco,and mangoes—Totapuri variety in particular . He also noted global focus on seed certification and product quality.
Plans for pulses, in high demand now, were on table too . Naidu called for talks with aqua farmers,feed manufacturers to tackle challenges,boost resilience. He urged officials to guide farmers on crops,ensuring they're ready for changing agricultural world.
At meeting: Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu,Chief Secretary G. Sai Prasad,other senior officials. All charged with rolling out these strategies to support Andhra Pradesh's farmers.
