Andhra Pradesh's commercial tax collections jumped 16% in June 2026,an increase of ₹664 crore from same month last year. This continues positive trend from April and May,fueling strong first quarter for fiscal year 2026-27.
Total collections hit ₹15,323 crore, rising from ₹12,480 crore in 2025 — a big 22.78% jump. Net Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections shot up 25.07%, from ₹7,978 crore to ₹9,978 crore. VAT on petroleum products also climbed 21.28%.
Mr. Babu from Commercial Taxes Department said net GST figures show state's consumption. Growth in collections linked to better tax compliance, tougher enforcement and improved monitoring,amid GST 2.0 reforms aimed at simplifying tax structure.
