At Central University of Andhra Pradesh's first convocation on July 1,2026, President Droupadi Murmu urged new grads to keep learning and innovate. In Janthaluru village,20 km from Ananthapuramu,she said a degree marks just the start of lifelong quest for knowledge.
“With AI and other tech changing life everywhere,continuous learning and courage to explore new ideas are key to personal growth and national progress,” Murmu said. She stressed need for adaptability in fast-changing,knowledge-driven world.
Murmu congratulated grads,calling event big milestone for them and university. She acknowledged hard work,perseverance behind their achievements,crediting support from parents,teachers,community.
Murmu urged grads to use their education for society's benefit. Careers in science,entrepreneurship,public service,social work were on table. “Education should empower people to tackle societal challenges and drive inclusive development,” she said,urging students to be job creators,not just job seekers.
President also highlighted importance of values with academic success. Honesty,empathy,compassion,respect for nature — essential traits for responsible citizens. “These qualities are crucial as you move forward,” she said.
Murmu expressed confidence in CUAP's potential to become leading institution for higher learning,innovation in India. Universities are key to achieving developed India by 2047. “India’s youth are its greatest strength,” she declared,urging grads to mix knowledge with integrity,creativity,spirit of service.
