The hailstorm uprooted numerous trees, bringing down power lines and damaging essential equipment. In Kadapa,28 villages across several mandals,including Kondapuram,Mydukur,and Proddatur, reported damage to electric poles,transformers, and feeder lines. Similarly, in Nellore, 15 villages under the jurisdiction of Kavali Rural,Kovur, and Muthukur faced comparable destruction.

Overall,the storm caused damage to 26 feeders,114 kilometers of power lines, 213 electric poles, and 131 transformers across both districts. Despite the scale of the destruction, APSPDCL teams, led by Superintending Engineers, worked tirelessly through the night. By Friday afternoon,they had restored power to most affected areas,according to APSPDCL Chairman and Managing Director Siva Sankar Lotheti.
