Baramulla was all about sports and fitness Sunday as Zoon Run – Festival of Baramulla Marathon wrapped up. Over 800 athletes competed. Spirited atmosphere. Closing ceremony saw top performers pocket cash awards.
In half marathon, Hansraj took men's title with 1:11:30, while Sonya Mohan Pramanik won women's race in 1:45:00. Men's 10-km race had Ajay Kumar finishing first at 32:41. Shamshad Bano took women's title at 49:42 . The 5-km races were heated too — Barkat Ali and Harmehar Kaur clinched overall titles in their categories .
Race Director Chandeep Singh mentioned high competition level this year. Athletes from all over India showed up. Marathon was part of Festival of Baramulla, with events for men,women across four age groups . 5-km race drew about 350 runners,120+ women included .
Adding to festivities,nearly 40 kids under 10 ran in special event,cheered by crowd. Winners in all age groups got recognized . Top three in each race took cash prizes — pushing fitness and community spirit...
