Satya Kumar Yadav on Wednesday said the BJP would conduct awareness programmes from June 5 to 21, highlighting the Modi government’s achievements.Addressing a press conference here, he said the Centre had introduced reforms aimed at economic growth and welfare, adding that India had emerged as the world’s fourth largest economy under Mr. Modi’s leadership.Prime Minister Narendra Modi was transforming India through reforms during his 12 years in office, while criticising YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy over his proposed protests against the coalition government.The Minister said BJP leaders would organise media interactions, visit Central government-funded projects and conduct awareness drives on welfare schemes, organic farming and environmental protection.
Tree plantation programmes would also be held on World Environment Day on June 5, while International Yoga Day celebrations would take place on June 21.Highlighting welfare initiatives, Mr. Satya Kumar said schemes such as Ayushman Bharat, PM-Kisan, free cooking gas connections and drinking water projects had significantly benefited people. He claimed Ayushman Bharat alone helped citizens save nearly ₹1.45 lakh crore in healthcare expenses.
He also said India’s exports had risen sharply and infrastructure investments in highways and railways had boosted employment opportunities.Launching a sharp attack on Mr. Jagan, the Minister accused him of lacking clarity on public issues and attempting to politicise a positive atmosphere in the State. He alleged that democratic values were undermined during the previous YSRCP regime and asserted that the coalition government was committed to transparent and democratic governance.Referring to local body elections held during the YSRCP government, Mr.

Satya Kumar accused the previous administration of misusing the police system and resorting to coercive tactics to secure unanimous victories in several places.On the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, the Minister said the process was a constitutional exercise aimed at ensuring eligible citizens received voting rights while eliminating duplicate or bogus votes. He questioned why Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy was comparing Andhra Pradesh with West Bengal in this regard.
