N. Chandrababu Naidu,Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh,pushed for faster construction of Amaravati,new state capital,in a review meeting Monday. He urged top construction firms to help make vision of a modern,sustainable city a reality.
In talks with A.P. Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA),Naidu laid out his goal for Amaravati to become a world-class urban center . Officials must be on guard against vested interests trying to block project. Public interest comes first,he stressed.
Contracts worth ₹50,999 crore have been awarded,with significant progress on Legislative Assembly,High Court,and Secretariat towers. Housing and infrastructure projects also moving fast. Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana said over 26,924 workers,more than 5,140 heavy machines active on various sites. Kondaveetivagu,Palavagu streams widened to curb flooding,he noted.
Naidu pointed to coalition government's efforts to restart Amaravati project after delays. He wants to make capital a premier city. Inviting Prime Minister Narendra Modi for opening ceremonies part of plan. Progress checks every two months .
