Musi Riverfront Development Project Update
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy demands swift action on Musi Riverfront Development Project, stressing fair rehab for families living along riverbed. At recent review meeting,he told officials to speed up first-phase land acquisition using compensation and Transferable Development Rights (TDRs).
Meeting had Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy,MP Vem Narender Reddy, Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, plus senior officials from Municipal Administration. Chief Minister said all eligible Musi riverbed families must get double-bedroom houses in rehab plan.
For land acquisition,he told officials to offer TDRs to willing landowners . Those wanting cash will get payments per government standards. Structures on defense land for Gandhi Sarovar project must be moved by State to avoid delays.
To get public involved,Revanth Reddy suggests Musi Experience Centre on Necklace Road. This place will show Musi Riverfront Project plans and vision for river rejuvenation and urban redevelopment. He pushed for citizen involvement, urging officials to set up feedback channels at centre. Community participation in Hyderabad’s urban renewal…important, but will it happen?
