Prime Minister Narendra Modi kicked off the Pradhan Mantri Vikas Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) in Jaipur,Rajasthan, aiming to boost jobs and skills for youth. During a big event at Vigyan Bhawan,New Delhi,he announced ₹2,400 crore in incentives for 1.5 million young people nationwide.
State-level ceremony happened at RL Swarnkar Auditorium.Rajasthan's Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma handed appointment letters to newly hired private sector workers. As part of this push, ₹13.73 crore set aside for 30,000 young people starting their first jobs .
Modi said the program isn't just financial aid but also a nod to youth potential and hard work. It aims to spark private sector job growth,reinforcing a developed India commitment. He noted over 7 million jobs created nationwide,with more than 2 million young people in roles for six months .
Officials stressed scheme's role in linking youth skills with job opportunities. Additional Chief Commissioner of EPFO,Ajit Kumar,spoke on Rajasthan's industrial investment and skill training efforts,aimed at generating new jobs for youth.
Event broadcast live at 200 locations nationwide,including cities like Ajmer,Dausa,Tonk,Churu,Jhunjhunu,and Sikar. This reach shows government's focus on boosting employment through skill development and industry expansion .
Besides ₹13.73 crore for young job seekers,over ₹46 crore allocated to private companies under scheme,aimed at promoting job creation. Regional Commissioner Paritosh Kumar expressed hope for Rajasthan's job market,stating that combining investment,industry,and youth skills will drive job-focused development .
Attendees included local MPs,MLAs,officials,private employers,and new hires. This joint effort reflects a larger strategy to boost employment and skills for youth in Rajasthan and beyond.
