Supporters of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) gathered at Jantar Mantar demanding Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resign. Their second protest,amid tight security aimed at maintaining public order.
Security forces set up barriers around the demonstration and key city access points. Vehicles were thoroughly inspected as part of larger effort to keep things secure. Top Delhi Police officials managed the protest,with extra units ready to tackle any issues.
Activist Sonam Wangchuk addressed the crowd,saying, “The system will only change when our elected representatives’ children go to same schools as everyone else’s.” His words resonated with many,highlighting deep concerns over education inequality .
Participants came from across Delhi and nearby areas,all officially allowed to gather. To boost security,authorities set up CCTV cameras around venue and gave out about 270 body-worn cameras to officers for accountability.
