First quarter saw cyber fraud complaints in Ranchi spike. Authorities logged 6,610 cases worth ₹74.59 crore. Police froze ₹14.52 crore in various accounts to help victims. And ₹16.98 lakh has been refunded through courts.

Kaushik stressed timely reporting. Police boosted 'Dial 1930' helpline with more infrastructure and staff to cut call drop delays. Goal: make complaint registration smoother for victims.
In same period,cyber police in Jharkhand registered 222 FIRs for cybercrime. Many 1930 helpline complaints lead to FIRs. Some victims still go straight to police stations.
