Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev moved into quarterfinals at 2026 ATP Halle Open in Germany,beating France's Terence Atmane on Wednesday . Match took one hour,25 minutes,with Medvedev,4th seed,winning 6-4,6-4 .
Medvedev,ranked 8th in ATP Rankings,will face Germany's Daniel Altmaier,next,a wildcard entry. His career boasts 23 ATP titles,five grabbed in 2023 alone. He held world number one spot for 16 weeks in 2022,also snatched US Open title in 2021 . That year,he led Russia to Davis Cup,ATP Cup wins .
The Halle Open runs from June 15 to 21. It's big men's tennis event on outdoor grass at OWL Arena in Halle,North Rhine-Westphalia. This year marks 33rd edition of ATP 500 series event.
