Hyderabad's Dhruva Space has joined forces with Finland's ICEYE to step up work in satellite manufacturing and earth observation. The MoU was revealed at Bharat Innovates 2026 in Nice,France.
Dhruva's got new 280,000 square foot facility near Hyderabad to boost its manufacturing game. It's set to increase production of space components for both domestic,international markets.
Main focus areas: joint development of satellite buses and space systems. Plus better access to earth observation data for disaster management,agriculture,maritime monitoring,climate analysis. They'll use Dhruva’s ground stations to improve data access,speed up downlinks .
“Together, we are exploring opportunities spanning entire value chain,from manufacturing and space systems to data delivery and applications,” said Sanjay Nekkanti,CEO of Dhruva Space . This partnership aims to blend local manufacturing with fast data access for solutions across sectors.
Rafal Modrzewski, ICEYE CEO, is excited about the partnership, emphasizing local production and new applications. It's about building strong manufacturing base in India to meet ICEYE’s growing global needs.
