Tragedy hit Solapur district in Maharashtra Sunday when a pick-up vehicle with 15 aboard plunged into a roadside well . Eight dead — four women,four children. Accident happened in Malshiras tehsil near Tandulwadi village . Driver reportedly lost control.
Superintendent of Police Atul Kulkarni said seven others were injured, rushed to nearby hospital . Emergency crews retrieved vehicle while local authorities managed rescue efforts.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis voiced deep sorrow over loss of life. Announced ₹5 lakh aid for families of each victim,calling accident "extremely unfortunate and tragic." He offered condolences,stressed state's commitment to helping families through tough time.
The Chief Minister added that Solapur District Collector and police were sent to scene to manage situation. State government stays in close contact with local officials to ensure all steps are taken…but questions remain.
