Trade tensions between European Union and China are heating up . Analysts say Brussels lacks leverage to really take on Beijing. Chinese firms in EU face a tough road,trying to grow while dealing with tighter regulations and shifting geopolitical winds.
Recently,more than a dozen Chinese companies gathered in Berlin for forum to boost Chinese imports from Germany . The German Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted it,with China's Vice Minister of Commerce, Ling Ji, giving a talk. He pushed the idea of China's vast market,promoting “Big Market to All, Export to China.” This campaign,started last year, aims to bump up imports from key partners and,“safeguard multilateral free trade system.”
But behind this upbeat pitch is a bigger issue: China's growing trade surplus unnerves EU nations. This surplus could ramp up tensions,driving both sides toward sharper trade conflict .
