Cyberabad Municipal Corporation's food safety wing found serious hygiene lapses at two popular Hyderabad restaurants during June 29 inspections. Both Barbeque Nation and Chinese Wok in Madeenaguda violated multiple food safety rules.
At Barbeque Nation, inspectors found unlabelled items like brownies,kulfi — tossed immediately. Restaurant had no records for food testing,packaging materials,pest control . And conditions were unsanitary. Vegetable crates,water bubble containers scattered. Chopping boards were worn down,cockroaches infested fruit storage and fridge areas.
Chinese Wok had its own issues. Cooked rice given 36-hour shelf life with no lab validation. Lacked records for food testing,packaging materials,medical fitness for handlers. Unclean water taps in rice,noodle prep areas,eggs used without proper cleaning. One handler with untrimmed nails — health risk.
