Himachal Pradesh High Court has ordered a probe into alleged rave party in Kasol area,Kullu district, after media reports sparked alarm. Justice Romesh Verma, overseeing the case during court vacation, instructed Kullu's district legal services authority (DLSA) secretary to inspect the scene fast and report back in ten days.
This action follows a June 6 news piece about a four-day festival slated for June 7-11. Titled "Thousands Revellers Converge at Mini Israel in Kasol as Raves Return to Parvati Valley under the Nose of Govt," it claimed heavy promotion with tickets from ₹10,000 to ₹16,000. Nearly 10,000 booked, coming from Chandigarh,Delhi,Mumbai,Bengaluru,Hyderabad, and Goa, plus visitors from Israel.
Given these claims, court ordered DLSA secretary to work with local officials, police to check the scene. Deputy commissioner and superintendent of police (SP) in Kullu also told to file affidavits on news report claims, especially regarding an earlier affidavit by SP on October 1, 2025.
This stems from case by Himalayan Environment Protection Society, worried about rave parties in Kasol,Jibhi,Manali, other Kullu spots under guise of tourism . They said entry fees ranged from ₹5,000 to ₹7 lakh.
Last October, affidavits from Kullu and Mandi SPs said no FIRs on rave parties filed in their districts and authorities were watching closely. Court will hear this again June 18…as investigation goes on.
