India,Israel pushing defence collaboration further. Major General (retd.) Amir Baram,Director General of Israel’s Ministry of Defense, visited India June 22, 2026. Met with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to talk expanding defence ties under India-Israel Special Strategic Partnership.
Talks focused on defence manufacturing,technology,joint projects. India's Defence Ministry later played up meeting on social media, saying both sides want deeper ties and exploring new collaboration paths.
Baram also met Defence Secretary,Chief of Defence Staff during visit. Aimed to find more ways to boost defence and industrial cooperation. This partnership's already made big strides in military tech, equipment,R&D.
Israeli Ambassador to India Reuven Azar sounded upbeat,thanked Singh for hosting Baram. Said collaboration sparking more joint projects,adding unique value to Israel-India ties.

This important visit,the result of a lengthy bilateral preparation process,reflects great importance that India and Israel attach to expanding their growing defence and industrial alliance,” he said.
