June 24, 2026,Invest Uttar Pradesh inked a deal with TeamLease Group to boost talent recruitment for new Global Capability Centres (GCCs) in the state. The partnership aims to make hiring easier for these centers during their setup phases.
Uttar Pradesh government has big plans — they want 500 GCCs by 2031. Focus is moving from Noida and Greater Noida to Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities like Lucknow and Kanpur . Expanding to these areas is key to tapping a broader talent pool.
TeamLease Group will roll out a "Starter Package" for new GCCs, offering 90 days of free workforce support and AI advisory services. This should help companies get up and running in region faster.
Vijay Kiran Anand,CEO of InvestUP, said the partnership will "strengthen workforce readiness, deepen industry-academia ties,and build talent pipelines that drive state growth." It aims to boost the local economy by ensuring GCCs have quick access to skilled workers.
