Ramprasad K ., a 25-year-old artist from Puttur, has emerged victorious in the logo design contest for the Viksit Bharat-Guranatee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission Gramin (VB-G RAM G). His design will be recognized at the National Vikas Sammelan in New Delhi,where he will be honored by Shivraj Singh Chouhan,the Union Minister for Rural Development, on June 29 .
The contest,organized by the Union Ministry of Rural Development in partnership with MyGov, aimed to create a unique visual identity for the initiative while merging the program's vision with the creativity of participants. A total of 7,233 entries were submitted from across India,showcasing wide range of artistic interpretations.
the chosen logo embodies the essence of the VB-G RAM G Act,symbolizing human dignity,collective effort, and transformative journey toward a developed India. It also reflects core principles of employment generation, livelihood security,and rural resilience .
In interview, Ramprasad shared that he discovered the contest just a week before the submission deadline. Initially, he struggled to complete his design on time. However, upon learning that the deadline had been extended by four days, he accelerated his efforts and submitted his logo. “I kept logo design simple to include all features of the VB-G RAM G Act in the letters V and B,” he explained.
A graduate of Mahalasa College of Visual Art in Mangaluru,Ramprasad emphasized that his design was influenced by fundamentals of Applied Art he learned during his studies. He plans to travel to Bengaluru from Puttur on the night of June 27,2026,and will arrive in New Delhi on June 28 for the ceremony.
