The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced an extension for applications for 750 Land Surveyor positions within the state’s Department of Land Records. The new deadline is set for August 20, allowing potential candidates additional time to submit their applications.
Initially scheduled to close on August 7,the extension comes as a response to modifications in eligibility criteria outlined in the recruitment notification. This adjustment aims to attract a broader range of applicants who meet the updated qualifications.
Successful candidates will earn a monthly salary ranging from Rs 37,500 to Rs 76,100,depending on their designated pay scale. To qualify, applicants must possess specific educational credentials from recognized institutions,including degrees or diplomas in fields such as engineering,technology, mathematics,physics,computer science,information technology,instrumentation,electronics and communication,or agricultural science.
Age requirements stipulate that candidates must be at least 18 years old, with a maximum age limit of 40 years . However,age relaxation is available for individuals belonging to reserved categories, in accordance with Karnataka government regulations .
The application process requires candidates to pay a fee, which varies by category. General and OBC category applicants must submit Rs 750, while those from SC, ST,Category-1,and other reserved categories are required to pay Rs 500. Payment must be made online,and candidates should consult official KEA notification for detailed fee information specific to their category.
Selection will be based on an offline OMR-based competitive written examination. This exam will consist of objective-type questions,and candidates should be aware that negative marking will apply for incorrect answers .
