Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) said students who paid for bus passes for 2026-27 academic year will get refunds within seven days of applying. This comes after state decided to give free bus passes to all students using state-run transport.

Since May 29, 2026, students can get bus passes via Education Department’s EDCS Seva Sindhu portal . After free pass announcement, those who paid must log into Seva Sindhu portal with registered mobile number and OTP to start refund. Aadhaar-based e-KYC verification needed,plus bank account details — theirs or parents'.

Once application submitted,refund processed through NEFT or RTGS,credited directly to bank account. Students get SMS notification. KSRTC stressed no need to visit transport office or pass counter,as whole refund process is online .
