In a recent press interaction,H. C . Mahadevappa made clear he never chased a Ministerial role during his long political career. His comments came while visiting Mysuru — a notable return after Siddaramaiah resigned as Chief Minister earlier this month .
Absent at inauguration of new cabinet led by D. K. Shivakumar,Mahadevappa addressed why he wasn't included in government . He noted those choices lie with party leaders. "Whatever decision the high command takes,it is final," he said.
Rumors swirled about his absence,but Mahadevappa stood firm. He hasn't lobbied for a government role or portfolio in his 40-plus years of politics. "I have never sought a Ministerial berth or a portfolio," he emphasized.
