During visit to Narasaraopet on Sunday,Gottipati Ravi Kumar,Minister-in-charge for Palnadu district,handed out subsidised tractors and farm gear to local farmers . He also gave subsidised autorickshaws to beneficiaries under DRDA-Velugu programme,marking coalition government’s second anniversary celebrations.
In his speech to party workers and attendees,Kumar stressed government's promise-keeping from opposition days. He said administration focuses on aligning welfare with economic progress . “We are dedicated to ensuring that our development programmes reach the people,” he urged.
The Minister highlighted major welfare measures, noting state allocates ₹33,000 crore yearly for pensions. He mentioned a massive ₹10,000 crore transfer in one day under ‘Talliki Vandanam’ scheme. Also,Kumar pointed out filling of over 16,000 teaching positions through DSC recruitment,reinforcing public education in region.
While addressing audience,Kumar slammed previous government led by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, accusing it of stalling key projects like Amaravati capital and Polavaram irrigation. He reassured residents no extra electricity tariffs imposed during coalition's rule,and promised industrial advances,including two compressed biogas plants, focus on horticulture.
Kritika Shukla,District Collector, praised Palnadu for exemplary performance in executing Central schemes like Jal Jeevan Mission and PM Surya Ghar. She reported ₹397.46 crore credited to mothers of 2.64 lakh students under Talliki Vandanam scheme, while ₹455.43 crore allocated to 2.4 lakh farmers
