Big push to secure land rights — N. Chandrababu Naidu, Andhra Pradesh's Chief Minister, plans to hand out over 72 lakh Pattadar passbooks by March 2027. It's part of ‘Mee Bhumi - Mee Hakku’ (Your Land - Your Right) program, targeting nearly 9,833 villages statewide.

At Banaganapalle in Nandyal district,Naidu stressed importance of these passbooks, which will carry official state emblem. They're meant to empower citizens, keep them in charge of their properties. “Our aim is to transform Andhra Pradesh into a state free from land disputes,” he declared.

Naidu slammed previous leaders for spreading fear about land ownership. Accused them of misusing ‘22-A’ classification to scare landowners. Said they enacted controversial Land Titling Act,causing public panic. “The misdeeds of previous rulers had become a curse for the public,” he said, noting his government swiftly repealed the law when he took charge.

Naidu also talked up development in Rayalaseema — Kadapa Steel Plant, Hero Motors, AMCA defense jet facility. He’s optimistic these will create jobs in defense, aerospace, electronics, automobiles.

But there are challenges . Drought, worsened by El Niño,has led to 22% less rainfall this season. Naidu launched ‘Jaladhara’ program to push for smart water use. Praised local efforts in building 18-kilometer feeder channel, check dams to boost groundwater.

Naidu hit out at YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) for allegedly dividing society with caste, religion, class conspiracies. Cited vandalism incidents like burning of Antarvedi temple chariot, theft at Durga temple in Vijayawada. “The previous rulers did not take any action against culprits,” he said, condemning inaction.

He promised tough action on sacrilegious acts. Recalled incident in Adoni where man was arrested for lighting cigarette with temple lamp, showing government's resolve.

Naidu also targeted figures like YouTuber Ravan, accusing him of disrespecting Hindu scriptures and backing terrorism. “The ‘Axe Party’ (YSRCP) is providing financial assistance to such people,” he charged, reinforcing his stance against threats to social harmony .

The event drew key figures — ministers Payyavula Keshav, Anagani Satyaprasad,B.C. Janardhan Reddy, NMD Farooq, local MLAs, MP Byreddy Shabari. As government rolls out ambitious plans, distribution of Pattadar passbooks remains central to Naidu's vision for Andhra Pradesh…
