June 16,2026,Nibe Limited unveiled its Garudastra mortar system to Indian Army at Infantry School,Mhow. Part of no-cost-no-commitment evaluation, this demo showed system's rapid deployment and quick fire rate.
Trial kicked off with a tactical shoot-and-scoot mission. Real battlefield conditions simulated. In under 30 seconds,Garudastra reached firing position, launched two rounds in 15 seconds, then moved to dodge counter-battery fire. Shifted to secondary spot,hit target again. Operational efficiency on display.
Two-member crew highlighted mortar's high-volume firepower,firing 12 rounds in 60 seconds with precision . Standout moment: Multiple Rounds Simultaneous Impact (MRSI) mission. Three rounds,different paths,hit target at once.
Demo wrapped with firing of precision-guided munition. Hit targets up to 10 kilometers . GPS and laser guidance led to direct hit on 3x3 meter target, showing system's accuracy.
