Facing heat over major errors in new school textbooks, Odisha government plans to send corrected versions to all state-run schools. Monday, School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond confirmed revised books aim to give students accurate material.

Reports revealed over 1,600 mistakes, sparking parent and teacher outcry for action. Minister Gond said government takes it very seriously. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi set up inquiry to probe what went wrong. "Whatever errors found in textbooks have been taken seriously," Gond said, noting those responsible face consequences.

Chief Minister ordered corrected books sent to every government school. "These corrected books will be used in classrooms to ensure proper teaching," Gond added. Education authorities in several districts also handing out correction sheets for teachers to fix errors.

In Bhadrak,education officer Chakradhar Mallik said correction sheets are already in schools. "Teachers will correct errors and teach accordingly," he stated. Protests erupted in Berhampur, citizens giving a memo to Chief Minister ks and fast distribution of revised ones.
